With a history reaching ten years into the past, Black Candle are the oldest Luxembourgish black metal band. Their third album Lead Me To The Tombs is already their third CD release, and according to band founder Lord Simon the first one with which they are entirely satisfied. If you are looking for modern melodic black metal, look elsewhere, because Black Candle are influenced by old school bands like Darkthrone and Immortal, and combine this with even more archaic elements taken from Seventies punk (the dirty attitude of their music should be testimony enough), gothic precursors (Christian Death, Siouxsie, Bauhaus) and of course Venom and Bathory.
