Katze

In the studio, 1 September 2005

It doesn't happen often that we get the opportunity to make live interviews with artists from places further away than one car hour from the radio station. Katze, the new band of Klaus Cornfield (formerly of Throw That Beat In The Garbage Can and also a very gifted cartoonist), were just on promo tour so their management decided they might as well make a stop at Radio ARA.

The original interview didn't happen on a Sunday, but was scheduled for the after-work show Bistro which Lex is hosting every Thursday. The interview was repeated in a slightly edited form on Sunday 25th September 2005 for those who missed it the first time.

Klaus Cornfield and Minki Warhol not only asked the questions, but they also played three unplugged songs (without their drummer Johann von Schubert who didn't come along), one of which was the Throw The Beat classic "Je pense toujours à toi". If you want to learn more about this fabulour kraut-pop band, one of the best things to happen to the German music scene since the first two albums from Tocotronic, you should check out their website.
