Ophidian

Luxembourg's metal scene is not what it used to be. Very good death and thrash bands like Desdemonia and Dreaming In Red are not as active as about a year ago, and those who prefer the softer side of metal had to listen to awful retro hardrock from bands I don't name as I don't want to meet their lawyers. Ophidian may just be the band to change this. Discovered at this year's Emergenza festival, they surprised not only metal fans with their powerful yet melodic heavy metal with strong and very charismatic female vocals.

Although at this moment, they have only played one concert yet, I prophesy this promising band a big future.

Their debut CD was not yet released, but the advance already proved that Ophidian are great on stage as well as on CD. Later this year, they will play a concert with Subway To Sally. Don't miss that one.
