Luxembourg's metal scene may not be the most fertile one, but Ophidian from the Eastern parts of Luxembourg have shown that they are more than just a fluke. Their second album Suffering/Dreaming, recorded at Gast Waltzing's studio, is another example of the perfect combination between powerful progressive metal music and accessible melodies with Caroline's charismatic vocals.

Since replacing their bass player with Nick, brother of drummer Max and guitarist Sven, and with Caroline being their cousin (and only lead guitarist Christian not being a part of the clan), there have been mischievous rumours that Ophidian are the Kelly Family of heavy metal. Rumours that they live in a houseboat on the Moselle river have so far not yet been confirmed.
