The most famous death metal bands come from the United States as it is the case for Six Feet Under, Cannibal Corpse or Morbid Angel. So it is surprising that Europe's number one Vader has its base in Poland, definitely better known for polka than for death metal. But Vader have been releasing since 1993 lots of CDs, mini-CDs and 7-inches and always gained more popularity. Their new CD Revelations also has good chances to become another classic because Vader give again a fine lesson in musical brutality. The vocals are typically deathmetal-like, but these roars just belong to that kind of music. Concerning the songwriting, my impression is that Vader play faster than ever before. The songs are at such a high speed that a Slayer-like atmosphere appears. Maybe they got the influence while being opener for Slayer in Poland. Impossible to pick out a single track on this CD; all 9 songs are little death metal jewels. Again, this is a Vader CD lasting not much longer than 30 minutes, but after half an hour of fast-paced and uncompromising death metal, you need a little rest.
