I've been listening to this, third already, CD by German power metal band Valley's Eve for some days now already, with the hope that I would get more into this CD, but to no avail. I don't really know what it is that keeps me away from this CD, but the more I listen to it, the more indifferent I become. Let's try to be objective then. I guess this is what you call nowadays melodic power metal. I've heard some people call it progressive, but really, that's way off the road. There surely are some complicated rhythms, but the bands always pays attention to a straight forward attitude.

There are 13 songs on the CD, long songs actually, which is why the CD is running for so long. Probably really cool when you like their music (and as I said: I subjectively don't like it), but maybe Valley's Eve could have made their point too if they had made 10 songs instead of 13.

The vocals are rather powerful for that kind of music. Nothing as brutal as we remember from 80ies US power metal bands like Omen or Meliah Rage, but still a vocalist who has some presence in his voice. I suggest you visit the band's homepage where you can download some song samples and make up your mind. Meanwhile I deal out generous but subjective 6 points.
